So here we are in adelaide city, we met up with Rhys who we met doing the canyon trip in the United States; and also with James, my old Head of departments son. here we are by the malls balls! had to be done i guess! we all had a really fun afternoon, originally met for lunch then at 7pm decided we really should be heading for ryhs'! so bid farewell and good luck to james heading to the red centre with temperatures nearing 50 ouch!
Rhys lives in Maslin beach just south of adelaide on the coast, absolutely gorgeous beach! its known as a nudest beach but thats only down the far end! we went for a swim everyday we were there, it was so hot it was a nice refreshing start to the day! i have never seen water so calm, it was like the water wasnt moving, hard to

describe really, then out of nowhere 5 big waves came along great for body boarding or body surfing - crazy but a lot of fun! Rhys drove us around his local area and into the McClaren Vale wine region, we went to a few winerys for some tastings, he taught me how to do the old swirling the wine around, sniffing, gargling thing, was good fun and the wine went down well! we did a bit of olive tasting as well, bit of stomach lining!! good fun afternoon!

that night we went out for dinner with rhys and his parents. lovely evening, some of the best food we had in a long time! I had squid, and entire squid for the eqivalent of £7 and it was fantastic! we watched the best sunset we'd seen thus far too, we had great sunsets in adelaide, watching the sun go down over the water, clear skys with bright pink clouds and deep orange sun, really amazing.

I cannot for the life of me remember the name of the harbour rhys took us to but anyway, whilst there we went to this island to see more little penguins only we didn't see any! they were all hiding! we went for a walk around the island instead which was nice. we had lunch with some of rhys' friends and i ended up with more down my dress than down my throat - can't take me anywhere!
that night we went to the beach to meet some more of rhys' friends having a campfire and drinks on the beach. was a cool chilled out evening. we had a great time in adelaide, big thanks the rhys' parents for being so lovely, and huge thanks to rhys for showing us round and of course for showing us a great time!!
