So the first pic is of us in our ever so sexy stinger suits to protect us from the deadly jellyfish in the sea! the worst one (i can pronounce not spell!) is so small, smaller than a thumb nail! anyway, after being stung in a stinger net on maggie island i was taking no chances and anyway, don't we look great!!! Oh, i forgot to say, the weather for the whitsundays trip was fabulous, Gav didnt get seasick at all which was such a relief as i had changed our boat from 2 to 3 days!!! Still cant believe how clear blue the water was in the barrier reef, even when 20-30m deep it was still pretty light blue!

The next pic is of me doing a sand angel on whithaven beach - voted the best beach in the world (not sure when!) This beach is unbelievable! the sand is so white its like snow, its so soft you feel like youre walking on silk, the sound under your feet is like that of really good crunchy snow - its like nothing we had ever experienced before! and even more, the barrier reef coral goes right up to the shore of the beach so you snorkle straight off the beach! I made a little yellow friend here, a little fish swam right in front of my goggles right up to the shore with me! made me jump at first! everytime i stood up it swam around my feet then when i swam again it went back to my goggles - very sweet! that coral i remember being very nice, very colourful, heard lots of people say they saw loads of stingrays and sharks there but we didnt unfortunately but thats ok we saw it all in cairns!

I tried to do a sand coloured writing but it was too light! last one of whitehaven beach, you can see how white the sand is compared to the blue of the sea, and how light blue the sea is - just gorgeous!! this is where a load of us took christmas snaps to send home - dont we look happy!!!

This last pic is us on the last night on the boat - we all slept upstairs on the deck under the millions of stars and it was just great! this is a pic of us with ingrid and dan, 2 of our really good friends weve met since being out here!

This last pic is the BBQ we had for Gavs bday! all down the coast in the parks beside the beaches they have these fantastic push button free BBQs and i have to say we have made use of them when ever possible! we just love them! having a BBQ and hearing the sea go in, with a few drinks surrounded by good friends and good cheap food! so yes we had this BBQ and whilst gav was cooking we got out a little cake, tried our best to light candles but the wind was too strong so when gav came back with some more goodies he had a little surprise waiting for him and he was chuffed to bits! and the cake was good too!bless! was a top night! not a bad birthday, sailing the whitsunday islands the days and BBQing before and then going bushwalking the day after - oh yes the bushwalking now theres some funny stories but you'll have to wait for them!! Airlie beach and the whitsundays were fantastic, great partying, great times with friends, great memories! xx
