Hey, these are just some more scenic pics from the blue mountains, what is it about water that is so relaxing and makes you want to take a picture!the first one i thought was just really pretty, amonst all the huge trees in the forest was this small palm tree next to a waterfall, nice i thought! the other is along the track we took, originally we decided to follow a track down the mountain accompanied by loads of other people, at the bottom however we decided to go the other direction and found ourselves not seeing anybody for over half and hour which became a little worrying as we didn't have a map! we finally found a sign post and found ourselves walking up over 900 steps to get back to the top! a very good workout!

another day in the blue mountains we decided to hire bikes out to ride the 33km track around the rim of one of the mountains. the way there we took at a leisurely pace stopping to admire the views etc, we got to within 1km of the end and just couldn't face the last hill! our legs were shakey and shattered and our lungs were about to burst! so we turned back! the hills we were cycling on were so steep and rocky that on a few occassions going downhill i had to jump off my bike to avoid falling off! it was a race against time to get back both of us pulled into the shop with our lungs coming our out mouths we were so knackered! still we got some beautiful views, theres nothing like mother nature!

this is one of the beaches i was talking about before when we did the coastal walk from bondi to coogee beach, we walked all the way along the rims you can see and beyond the far hill to get to coogee beach - it was a relief to get in the water to cool down but we didn't last long because like all sydney beaches the water was F freezing!! great day out though!

This is gav and i outside the sydney opera house, we went for a tour a mis-judged how far away our hostel was and had to run for 20 mins in 40 degree heat to get there on time - you can imagine the sweat pouring down our faces! the tour was really good, told us all about how they built it, the fact that you are suppose to feel like you are on a luxury ship and once inside it really does feel like it, especially out the back facing the water. we went to see a show there too, we nearly went to see an opera but it was listening only seats so instead we went to a festival show (sydney festival in jan every year) and well it was ok but not really our kind of thing. a story told by dancing to music - i guess were just not arty enough to get the gist of it! it was good though and anyways, we can say weve seen a show at the sydney opera house!

oh, we didn't do the harbour bridge climb, its extremely overpriced and you can't even take up your own camera!! we did however walk across the bridge and got some good views there, the bridge climb is just walking up steps anyway so didn't look all that inviting! the views from the walk were good enough for us!!

thats it for sydney and australia, off to new zealand!!!!!!!

another one from our time in sydney! this is me in the park behind bondi beach so thats the infamous bondi beach in the background. lots of people told us it was a disappointment compared to beaches up the golden coast but we both thought it was alright, nice golden sandy beach, clear sea (although i reckon its as warm as brighton sea) and hot sunshine - what more can you ask for? we went to bondi a couple of times, one time we met up with some friends living there with some australians - they were all very nice and we had a good time but some of the auzzis had a bee in their bonnet about how great australia is and how crap england is - yet theyve never been to england and apparantly were all bitter because we dont live in the worlds best country - i kinda told them to get over themselves! it was a fun night though, happened also to be the night we lost the final ashes match! another time we went to bondi we did the coastal walk its about 5km which isn't far but in the heat it felt far enough! the beaches along the way were really pretty and the up and down cliffs were a bit of challenge after having no exercise for ages, all in all a nice day out at the seaside!!

whilst in sydney we took a trip to the blue mountains which is about 2 hours inland from sydney. our first stop was at a wild kangaroo park and although we had seen loads and weren't that fussed about as soon as we saw the joeys I couldn't help but take about 100 pics! isn't that the perfect postcard pic!

Once up at the blue mountains national park we went on some hikes with our driver. this waterfall has a bit of a story! at the top round the corner was just like a water pool we didn't at this point know what was around the corner. i decided to edge closer for a better look and slipped fell into the water pool and almost fell down the waterfall. luckily i managed to grab onto a rock and pulled myself up, the driver jumped in after me but he sliped and fell to. Obviously i was a bit embarrassed by the whole thing and had a wet arse as a reminder! it wasnt until we turned the corner i realised why the bus driver was so panicky! not sure it would have been a pleasant fall! pretty water fall though eh?

I guess this isn't the best pic of gav and i but in the background are the infamous 3 sisters rocks of the blue mountains. the aborignes have hundreds of formation stories for the mountains but the most famous is the 3 sisters - and these rocks have many stories of their own. the one i liked best was: there were 3 sisters and a dad. the dad told the 3 sisters not to enter the valley because of a human eating monster that lived in there. the dad was ok to go into the valley because he was a medicine man (very high up in the clan) and had magical powers and a magic wand to keep the monster at bay. However, one day the 3 sisters walked into the valley and as they walked one knocked a pebble over the edge of a cliff and as it landed it woke the monster. the monster woke up hungry and chased after the 3 sisters. the dad looked up from the valley and saw his daughters being chased, he used his magic wand to try to stop the monster but he was too powerful, so instead he turned his daughters into stone to prevent them being eaten. at this point he had full intentions of turning them back, however the monster then came after him so to prevent himself being eaten he turned himself into a bird. turning himself into a bird was not a good action though because birds dont have hands so he dropped the wand - no longer able to use the wand himself and his daughters would never go back to human form. (the monster didn't eat the bird for some reason). and thats the end of the story. they use these stories to teach their young morals ie do what your dad tells you! i guess they are kinda silly but since the aborigines have been around for 60 000 years - longer than any other race you can't really judge them!

anyway, gav says ive given you all an information overload so im stopping, my lesson on aborigines is now over!

message to elmo and dave: gavs hair is now half way down his neck, covering his ears, german curls surrounding his face - yes it looks aweful, but no sadly he has no intention of doing anything about it! gav obviously disagrees with my opinion.

last stop before sydney was at barrington where we had all you can eat pizza - there was a competition for how many pieces you could eat, one girl ate 26 pieces!! i think we managed 9!!

anyway so this pic is of a group of us going night rafting. we all had individual kayaks and paddled along a load of rapids in the dark! was really cool to look back and see loads of lights coming down the river! got wedged inbetween and onto a few rocks at times but its was all part of the fun! the last rapid i got wedged and ended up going down backwards!

SYDNEY NEW YEAR 2006/2007!!!!!!!

we had a stroke of luck on new years eve, we went to Mrs Macquaires point, got there about 12 the queue was literally a mile long and we bumped into these guys from sevenoaks - again - and they were right at the front!! then when we got inside they said they knew someone with the perfect spot as you can see from the photo it was!! we waited about 11 hours for midnight but it went really fast talking to these guys, bumping into loads of other people we had met coming down the coast! the wine was horrible and gave me a stinking headache but had to be done!

this pic is actually of us at the 9pm fireworks, same show as the midnight ones but for the family! the fireworks were amazing!! both times!! never seen anything like it! the count down was a bit funny we only caught on a 6! top new years eve, one def to be remembered!!

we walked through the botancial gardens quite often on our way in and out of the city, one day we passed all these birds and they just wouldnt leave gav alone! proper bird man!!the gardens were beautiful, loads of the trees had bats - these things are huge!!

this last pic was taken after we spent the day at manly beach the other side of the city! we timed the return ferry perfectly to get the sunset, how good is that pic!!!! right gotta go, love you all!

this first pic of of santa arriving on the beach! how cool is that! all the kids really believe its him because hes come from the water, flown over and landed on a secret island, left his raindeers there and come to meet them! so cute! would be great to have that kind of thing in england - but where! also on this beach there is a loo with a view! you can see the beach while you pee! funny! had a great new year, also went to a house all decorated up, very cool! xmas day pic is already up had a great time with the family!

These next few pics are of us having surfing lessons in coffs harbour, we had 2 lessons and by the end of it i was beginning to learn to surf along the wave - not quite got the hang of it yet! but have got the hang of getting up and paddling with the wave! gav got qutie good too, i think he caught a few good waves and perfected his poses too as you can see! couldnt resist putting on this great one of me being wiped out, that did happen more often than catching the wave for the first few hours! had a really great time, coffs is suppose to be a good place to swim with dolphins off the coast but we didnt see any, still we had enought to concentrate on! had a great time and now plan to practice in melbourne or adelaide! loving this sport - watch out lyd we'll be coming your way to practice on the cornwall beaches!!!

From byron bay we went back up the coast to spend christmas with my family who now live in Buderim just south of noosa! Gorgeous area, loads of lovely beaches within a mile, a really good shopping mall (which we went to on a rainy boxing day for a bit of bargain shopping but came home empty handed - we only seemed to like the things not in the sales!); a really nice house with a pool (which gav and little daisy made very good use of!); where we had a fantastic week!

we also had our first roast dinner here - at a carvery restaurant and it was delicious!!! we pilled our plates so high it was almost falling off - dad would have been proud! in this first pic we took a day trip out inland to see some waterfalls and i really wish i'd written down the name because i really can't remember! it was a bit rainy but the walk and the waterfalls were lovely! we saw some wild kookaburras and lorchids (parrots) too flying around! on the way home we stopped at the big pineapple - out here they have lots of big plastic things like bananas, mangos, prawns, crabs, bit crazy but cool!

Im sure you can guess where we are here! we went back to steve irwins zoo and im glad we did because we saw so many animals we completely missed the first time - and we got to have our pic taken with a koala! ahh, it was so soft like a teddy, im sure the wild ones aren't but it really was as cute as it looks! and heres daisy feeding the kangaroos, they must have been fed a lot this day because they weren't all that interested! still we had fun feeding the farm animals and the elephants, watching the tigers and the crocodile show! funny, it wasn't until we were about to leave i realised we hadn't seen any crocs apart from in the show so we went for a quick peek at agro and made our way home!

had a really fantastic time with my family, theres another pic to come from a different cd to show xmas auzzi style - was fantastic!

hope everyone back home is ok, miss you all, sara and gav xx
Ahhh Byron Bay! lots of fond memories! so this pic of gav is to show you all the proper hippy bikes we rode on to get to the eastern most point of australia - so hippy the brake was peddaling backwards! no gears so up hill was tough!

Below is a pic of gav with our friend claire, we went to Nimbin for the day - in case any of you don't know its like australia's version of amsterdam - except hippy! driving into the village is like going into a timewarp back to the seventies, very cool, covered in rainbow writing and colours, a funky museum that was definitely put together by stoners, and everyone and their dog selling ... goodies! we had some cake and as much as we ate it just didn't work - def should have gone for the cookies at least they would have tasted good! so anyway, as part of our day out to nimbin we also went to a proper hippy's house, he's got about 80 acres of land and over his and his parents lives they've literally grown a rainforest! very pretty and very hippy! here they are eating freshly picked macademias - biggest nuts ive seen! tasted good too! (stop being rude i know how that sounds!!)

Of course you cant go anywhere, even the other side of the world without randomly bumping into a few people from sevenoaks! heres gav in the infamous cheeky monkeys with 3 lads from home alex, mike and benson! small world! the other floor photo was from the same evening, loads of us out after our trip to nimbin! cheeky monkeys i dont care what anyone says is a bloody good laugh, had an excellent night there even if i still cant remember some of it ... yes, you might have to ask gav about those moments!

eager beavers from our surf lesson in 1770, on our last morning in byron we hired out a board for an hour - not long enough really but we didn't have long! the beach was gorgeous, we actually spent some time down there and got a little burnt! skin not used to the sun after all the rubbish weather we'd been having! we both managed to get up, but obviously got wiped out a few more times but thats all part of the fun! while i was doing it a man swimming past me told me i had good paddling but bad timing! then the next wave i went after he was yelling at me to get up on the board! funny! were getting better all the time! sad to leave byron bay, its so pretty, so laid back, beautiful beaches and the seas not that cold!

Were now in Surfers Paradise, we did not go surfing however as the weather was so bad the whole time we were there! except this morning, we decided to have some fun and go zorbing! we are inside this giant inflated ball with some sort of liquid and we basically walked off the top of the hill and rolled and tumbled all the way down! was so much fun, best ride weve ever had!!

the next pic is us with ingrid and rowen, we went to the ripleys believe or not museum and we are standing next to a model of the tallest man ever, i think he was around 9ft tall! his feet and hands were huge! he only lived to his 20s though. oh, then theres a pic of me on the surfers paradise beach, the sky cleared up for about 5 mins and stopped raining so we took a quick stroll on the beach before it started raining again! whoever said it never rains in australia is a liar!

Because of the bad weather we didnt really do a lot in surfers, we went shopping and got some bargains in the sales, wondered around the local town a few times, the weather was just so bad you didnt want to leave the hostel! it was in surfers that we bumped into 2 guys from sevenoaks, had no idea they were out here, they were checking out as we checked in! random! another small world story, sleeping in our hostel was a guy from bognor regis who randomly asked who my worst pupil was at bognor school and it turns out hes travelling with my nightmares brother! random again!

on the way to byron bay we had a quick stop at the queensland - new south wales border so here we are in 2 places at once, not sure why we are doing such an awkward looking pose!

Byron Bay!! this place was just BEAUTIFUL! everything about it, the culture, the town, the beach, the weather!!! gav and i hired out bikes for the afternoon - proper hippy bikes where you cycle backwards to brake! was a lot of fun, we cycled to a lighthouse where the eastern most point in australia is so he we are next to the sign post!! we took a walk down to the rocks at the bottom, had a paddle at a small cove/beach at the bottom and saw dolphins swimming in the water! was really cool! they weren't jumping around but they were coming out the water! was cool to see them in a natural environment! when we came back up the top because the water is soooo clear, we could see them swimming under the water too! bloody amazing if you ask me!

hope all you gorgeous people are ok, we are flying to new zealand tomorrow, ready to leave sydney and start the next adventure!! xx
Ah yes, like i was saying in the last entry at rainbow beach we were taught to throw the boomerang, im pretty sure that both gav and i nearly took out our entire group, shows that we have some skills though as the boomerang curled around just didn't exactly come back to us! rainbow beach was nice but i dont know who said there are 70 odd colours of sand because i could make out about 2 or 3!

Next stop Noosa! noosa is a bit of rich area of the east coast and you can see it when you see some of the houses on the rivers and estuaries! We had a fun few days here, we went for a walk along Noosa national park which takes you along a few beaches its a bit of a coastal walk! One of the beaches was a nudest beach and you know its fine if they are lying down because you can avoid looking at them but so many of the men are obviously very proud because they walk around hanging loose and its just hard to know where to look because theyre everywhere! no women just men! and they weren't all that well endowed either!!!! still bit of an adventure!the walk was cool we saw turtles and koalas, someone saw a snake but we missed it - we still have not seen a wild snake! the pic below is of doing the walk, this is tea tree bay, we stopped here for a dip in the sea! another day we went mountain biking and kayaking, the mountain biking didn't start too well as the other guy doing it with us fell off on the 3rd corner and fell off badly, i rode along and saw him face down in the bushes on the side of the road, lost tooth, big gash on head, arms and legs, shorts completely ripped! so quick dash to hospital! after that it was cool, cycled through mountains and forests and then went kayaking on the noosa river and saw some one clawed crabs and stingrays - fun day!

One of the nights we were there we went out, started in the hostel bar, they had loads of drinking games and stuff to win beer, i think our table won something like 4 pitchers for $8 not bad at all! i played some of the more kinky games, one you had to put a lemon up a guys trouser leg and back down the other leg, then back and forth a few times before pulling it out the fly, well the guy i was paired up had the tightest jeans on ever, needless to say i didn't win! had a top night, went down to a local nightclub, not good for gav though, guys not allowed to wear flipflops so we went in and he went back to change, came back, not allowed in again because wearing shorts - even though loads of others were getting in?! dont think the bouncer liked him! we had a good boogie inside, i dont think gav waited too long before we came out to look for him and then we kinda just went home! top night though!!

One of the other days we took a trip to Australia zoo! was really hard to realise that steve irwin is dead because he is everywhere in the zoo, pictures, his programs running all day so you can hear his voice, he really is everywhere you turn! the zoo itself was really cool, all the animals were well looked after and looked happy!! saw the most enormous tortoise i have ever seen! about 200 years old too! saw some cute tasmanian devils, saw a load of dingos, camels, cassowaries, kangaroos, koalas - lots that we'd seen before! And of course, crocodiles!! some of these were HUGE!!! we saw the famous agro, and he is one big boy! had like a crocodile, snake and bird show in the crocoseum (bit like a small auditorium) where they told you about the animals and stuff, did a bit of feeding show to show the different ways the crocodiles eat food, was really good but not like what you see steve doing on tv, these other people just aren't brave enough!! was good though! we also saw tigers and elephants, leopards, loads of birds, wombats, can't remember them all but it was a top day! the pics are of gav trying to wrestle a croc (thought it was quite a funny pic) and of Agro, he is one big croc!!

More from Fraser! We have sooo many pics of us on fraser island these are only a small snap shot! this is 8 out of 11 of us packed into the back of the van enjoying the bumpy ride! The next one is gav with dino and cindy another cool couple on the trip! the first night we didnt really do much, had a few drinks, had a feast of a meal, kinda just got to know eachother! there were 2 other vans from the same company out on the same day so we hung out with them too! was a cool night though, quite cold but fun! nice hearing the sea coming in in the background - we were camping in tents on the beach! very cool!

The second day we went all over the island, we started by doing a 7km trek up the beach to India Head to look for tiger sharks and turtles and the like - and you can guess how much we saw - yep nothing! but the views were beautiful! this is gav and i at the end of the rocky hangover and behind us the beautiful cathedral beach!

next stop was eli creek which is a freshwater creek with quite a fast flowing current so you just lay on the water and it carries you down, very relaxing! the water was nice and cold and refreshing too!was so funny being pulled along by water, looking up at the sky and around at the trees, very cool! i think i had my driving stint after eli creek, past the ship wreck and to the next lake i cant remember the name of! driving was a lot of fun, bit hazardous, one of the other groups completely buckled their rear wheel! at the next lake we played a prank on one of the boys adrien, he was sleeping with his arms across his body so we all put sticks up against him so when he woke up he had a wall around him! was funny at the time! that night was an awesom night, loads of us were up for getting completely hammered and had plenty of booze to do it!! we played drinking games, i got up and got people organised into more games (gav said i was a bit teachery but everyone else appreciated it!!) we played hide and seek, we went looking for dingos, we drank some more, had a load of laughs and then all ran for cover in the early hours of the morning when a massive thunder storm appeared out of nowhere!

The last day the whether wasnt so good and some people were starting to get a bit ratty and bossy and you'll be glad to know it wasn't me! i stayed out of it, sat on the fence and im very proud!! we went to a few more lakes, visited a little village, had a make shift lunch as most of the food was either eaten or gone bad but all the groups were in the same situation! was still a good day but the whether didn't help the mood! top trip! had an awesom few days on the island of fraser!

when we got back me and harriet a girl from the trip played a little prank on the rest of the group! we took the van back to get checked out and brought back a red ticket to show them all which indicated we'd lost our deposit! they were all completely gutted but Gav hit the roof, he went barmy so we very quickly got out the green note saying all was fine! was so funny! hehe!

Back on the bus, our next stop was rainbow beach where the drivers taught us some aboriginal stories and their uses of boomerangs and didgeridoos! so many people can play these instruments really well and it is so hard! we could bother just about make the sound but its far from easy! still cool pic eh!
Still at the cattle station!! would have been cool to have stayed a few days really! the other thing we did the night we arrived was learn to crack a whip and it was so painful!! gav caught on really well, i guess knowing how to crack a teatowel helps! i think i hurt myself more times that i like to remember, i had bruises all down my arm, on the back of my shoulder, on the wrists and hands, my hand was so painful i couldnt bend 2 of my fingers! still i managed to do it in the end!

The next day we went for horse ride, gav did the goat mustering which means gathering, you basically walk around them and get them into a pen shouting and making funny noises at them! i went off for a bit of a gallop around some fields which i was a bit nervous about at first but once off i absolutley loved it!!! we joined gav and the goat mustering team to round up the second lot of goats and that was pretty cool too, quite satisfying seeing them all in the pen! and some of the billies were cute as!

the next thing we did was goat rodeoing where as a team we caught turned and branded the goat! gav caught the goat which was so funny running around a pen trying to grab hold of a goat with BIG horns! he did well though, then the other guy turned it (as you can see) as i ran to get the brander to brand its arse!! was a lot of fun and our team did it in the fastest time! woo! was funny watching the other teams chasing the goats, the first team, their goat jumped the 10ft fence so they had no chance - that was hallarious!!

oh, then the last thing we did was clay pigeon shooting! gav did well he hit 4/5, i did fairly well i hit 2/5! felt a bit silly though, the first shot i had the guy said to me "did you see it" and i said "no, i cant see well out of my right eye" (have to shut left so can see down the barrell) so then they all laughed at me and made me do it lefthanded and it must have worked because i soon hit 2 of them! tell you what though, i had not idea how powerful the back shift it sent me flying! was so much fun! and true to being on a cattle station we had 2 fantastic beef meals, not as good as gilman beef but close! yum yum! had a great stay here, lots and lots of fun!

Our next stop was the beautiful 1770 named after the year it was discovered! we only had a few days here but could have stayed for ever, not only for the beauty but also for the cheepness of everything! it has everything - newly discovered coral barrier reef, dophins that come to the shore, and an eastern point to that you watch the sun set over the sea! beautiful!! we had our first surf lesson here and the teaching was fantastic, the waves were cool and by the end of the 3 hours we were both getting up! surfing is a lot of fun but had definitely underestimated the amount of paddling involved, its HARD work!! was a lot of fun and have since had a few more goes and getting a lot better! one thing we did do was a scotteroo tour around the area, the guy ran out of bikes so i had to go on the back of his but that was good fun! saw loads of kangaroos and wallabies, rode around the beautiful scenery was a really good afternoon! at the end we all go to a pub for wedges and watch the beautiful sunset however we had lots of rain and clouds so the sun set was non existent! oh well! we had a lot of fun, and a guy let me ride his bike on the way home so i had a turn and it was awesom! felt so cool riding a mini harley! the pic is us with everyone on the tour, with jimmy, kelly and andy on the bikes with us, cool guys had fun with them! had planned to watch the turtles lay their eggs and picnic with them but the weather wouldn't allow that either - poo weather, no moon = no turtles laying! oh well we had a top time there!!

our next stop was the brilliant fraser island trip! and it was bloody FANTASTIC! this is a picture of us with our group on the amazing lake mackenzie beach! the sand was like whitehaven beach, the water was fresh so you could drink it as you swam! the surroundings were just amazing and the people in our group were a lot of fun! we had top few days here! driving around the island was a lot of fun, lots of tree roots, lots of sand (biggest sand island in the world), which basically meant we went bumping along the tracks, sitting in the back was an adventure in itself you never knew when you were going to go flying in the air! gav was sitting near the back and one big bump and he was laying all over everyone! poor them! we both had a go at driving and it was a lot of fun even if a bit hazardous!! front or back was a lot of fun! the beaches and the lakes were incredible, i feel a lot more fraser island photos coming on! what a trip!!!!
On our way from Airlie Beach to Rockhampton we stopped off for a game of bowls! first time any of us had played the game and its really quite hard - i have new respect for people who can play this game! our first few attempts our balls ended up nearer the games' next to us' white ball rather than our own! after a few attempts we were about 1m away from the white ball but by no means consistent! we had fun as you can see and ended on a draw!

Ok, so next stop was Rockhampton, beef capital of Australia so theres a giant model of a bull in the street! the town itself is not overly fantastic, a small high street with lots of shops but not much bigger than sevenoaks! theres also an industrial park and other high streets but its very much just like any other town!

It was here we went bush walking with capricorn Dave! this was the day after gav's birthday and the idea was to see as many poisonous spiders and snakes as possible! our first spider was a funnel web as shown - yes the guys crazy he loves holding poisonous spiders! one thing I learnt though is that all spiders have some sort of venon and can bite but most don't poison us, thank god! we saw so many spiders on this day, red backs, st andrews, garden orb, pearl ... loads, and i really have no fear of them at all anymore, after seeing how much they hate being handled and won't come near us they seem harmless really! we also saw black swans (dont have white ones here), turtles, green ants (gav tried licking his first green ants bum and i think he enjoyed it!!!), loads of different birds - was a really top day! The day actually started with a tarzan style swing into a billabong which was so refreshing because it was a really hot day. i really had to persuade gav to have a go, but eventually he did and he loved it! was so much fun, we've got funny videos of us doing tarzan screams and all!

After all that bush walking a insect hunting we had a mud bath, i was the only one to do it and my skin felt beautiful afterwards. exfoliating mud, then tea tree oil mud and then whilst washing it off we trod in amonst these reeds and it released oxygen bubbles so it was all bubbly and tingly! was really relaxing - who needs a spa!

ah, yes more spider hunting! this was the last spider we saw and the biggest, this is a huntsman spider, if it bites its like a bee sting. at first i had it on my hand then the guide dave said a really good picture is to have it on your face to i rose to the challenge and let it crawl up my face from my shoulder to my head! as you can see im really enjoying myself! it felt kinda funny, warm and incredibly soft! kinda cool huh!

we also went to visit the capricorn caves which was pretty cool, did a bit of a cave walk, walking amonst the formations of millions of years gone by! back on the road our last stop was at a meat eating at farm where the idea is to stamp on the ants nest, annoy all the ants then they come out and eat your feet! it took me a while to build up the courage to do this one, apparantly steveo from jackass lasted about 6 seconds! you have to brush the ants off from climbing up your legs so they form around your ankles and it looks like you have ant socks! the guy we were with lasted about a minute - i dont now how, i had a go and i think i lasted 3-4 seconds - it hurts! got a very funny video of that too!

just in time to watch the sunset we saw a family of kangaroos, even a joey poking out the pouch soooo cute! we also saw 2 kangaroos fighting, thats an image i won't forget, its hallarious! We had an absolutely fantastic day, big big big thank you to joe, sally, ian, steve, charlene and al for your prezzie which meant we could have such an adventureous day! we had an amazing time. love you guys!!

Back on the road, our next stop was at a cattle station. lots of stories here too! the first thing we did was have a go at the bucking bronco bull thing, gav did really well, he lasted 17 seconds - the longest out of everyone, of course hes jewels also felt the pain of victory! i didn't do quite so well, i only lasted 4 seconds but it was all good fun! doesn't gav look sexy with that hat on!
